Terms and Conditions

1. Definitions

• "School," "We," "Us," or "Our": Rules Driving School.
• "Instructor": A qualified Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) representing or partnered with Rules Driving School.
• "Student," "You," or "Your": Any individual booking lessons, accessing our platform, or using our App.
• "Platform": Collectively refers to our website, mobile application, and integrated backend services.

2. Eligibility & Student Responsibilities

• Licence: You must hold a valid UK provisional driving licence, full driving licence, or a valid international driving permit. You must present this to your Instructor on your first lesson.
• Fitness to Drive: You must ensure you are fit to drive. This includes meeting the minimum DVSA eyesight requirements (reading a registration plate from 20 metres) and being completely free from the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that may impair your driving ability.

3. Bookings, Cancellations, & Rescheduling

Lesson Bookings: Lessons are booked via our website, App, or directly with your assigned Instructor. Bookings are subject to Instructor availability.

• Cancellation Policy: You must provide at least 48 hours' notice if you wish to cancel or reschedule a driving lesson.
• Late Cancellations: If you cancel with less than 48 hours' notice, you will be charged the full fee for that scheduled lesson.
• Instructor Cancellations: If an Instructor needs to cancel a lesson due to mechanical breakdown, illness, or extreme weather, you will be offered an alternative time or a full credit for that lesson.

4. App Usage & Third-Party Integrations

Our App is designed to help Instructors and Students manage schedules, track lesson progress, and plan routes. To provide a seamless experience, our Platform integrates directly with third-party services via Google APIs:

Google Calendar Integration

Used to sync, manage, and display driving lesson schedules and real-time bookings.

Google Sheets Integration

Utilized by Instructors for backend operational tracking, student progress charts, and milestone logging.

Google Maps Integration

Integrated to map driving routes, track specific pickup/drop-off points, and provide navigational training data.

Account Security: If you create an account on our App, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

5. Fees and Payments

• All fees must be paid in advance of the lesson via our approved payment methods on the App/website or as agreed directly with the School.
• Block booking discounts are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed at the sole discretion of Rules Driving School management.

6. Limitation of Liability

While our Instructors take every precaution to ensure safety, Rules Driving School is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from driving lessons, except where such liability cannot be excluded by UK law. The Instructor’s vehicle is fully insured for driving tuition and practical driving tests.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
